CG Range Open?

Is the CG range open (been years since I've been down) and how is the weekend traffic?

Yes, it's open and pretty busy all the time, especially weekends.

They have a website you can check out.

An important thing to remember: They don't have chairs. If you want to shoot off the bench, bring your own chair. (My drink cooler is just the right height.)

Also, bring your own target stands and targets. I have seen people with paper bullseye targets trying to prop them up with rocks and dirt.

I'm out in that area once a week and people are shooting there every time I go by.

How long is the longest range?

Is their still steel scattered on the mountain in the distance? I remember a manhole cover around 800yds off right and heard rumors of other steel off left out to 1200? Never found it myself.

Most of the steel plates were removed off the mountain.
