So Taurus was advertising last December that if you buy such and such lever action rifle you will get a "free" Heritage pistol. I wanted a Rossie .45LC anyway so it was a perfect time to buy the rifle and get a free hand gun. Bought the gun, submitted the rebate form and after a lengthy time got a claim number for my free hand gun. Waited and waited and waited and in early February received an e-mail from them saying that they were installing some kind of new system but all the rebate guns would be sent to our designated FFL. Well, it's March the 13th and haven't heard a word. I've tried calling their customer service number but no one ever answers. I cannot find an email address for them and the address on their note to me stating that the guns would be out in Feb is no longer valid.
Question: Anyone else having this problem? Did you get your free guns? Anyone find a good e-mail address for their customer service? For the most part I like Taurus's guns, but this customer service thing is a real buzz-kill.

Re: Taurus Rebate Problems
every warranty issue i have had with Taurus has taken eons to accomplish, but all did with exception of an issue with tx 22 barrel issue which they would not take care of, quite the surprise, shocked me as they had up till then been exemplary in warranty issues, best of luck, sometimes its all about timing Rj

I'd give it time. I know I'm spoiled in the Amazon Prime shipping era, but lots of things just take more time. I bought a Sig a year or so back when they had a deal where you get a few free mags and it felt like it took forever for those mags to show up but they eventually did.

I don't think I have ever heard a good story about Taurus , and their customer service.

Re: Taurus Rebate Problems
I know this is a month old, but it is in my opinion a characterization of the Taurus culture.
I had a PT 145 with every malfunction imaginable, and paid shipping twice back to them with long waiting times for evaluation and response. Each time they claimed their testing produced no issues and the problems were from improper maintenance on my part.
At the Las Vegas Shot Show back then I complained to their U.S. sales manager of the issue. He gave me his business card to include with the third shipment back (at my expense again).
After a lengthy time, it came back with the same issues.
It turns out that the law suit against Taurus provided a replacement for this POS, but I am forever tainted against Taurus

Re: Taurus Rebate Problems
Many times the promotions end on a certain date. THEN they process each claim
I have found as others said it takes forever but they do come through

Reflecting back , that sales manager, when reminded of their warrantee of replacement if a gun can't be fixed, said 'we're not in the business of giving away guns'...
