It's been a good long while since I've seen a Yellow Front. Last one I remember being in was in Tucson on Oracle and Magee back in 1982 or so.

Yellow Front was a great store. I grew up in South Phoenix and the one we had down there was on Central Ave between Broadway and Southern. And yes, that was close to 50 years ago.

I was going through an old tackle box with the youngest to set him up with it and found these. I had them when I was a kid and they were from Yellow Front. Some good memories as a kid staring at all that stuff.

Yellow front,,,,, always seemed to be right next door to a Checker Auto.
Kind of a precursor to the dollar stores.

The mass shootings must have been every day with all those easy to buy firearms.

Oh wait, there were no mass shootings?

Circa 1967, when you could order these to your door.

What those ads tell me is not that the value of the guns has gone up, but that the value of the dollar has gone down.
