NY Attorney Dissolve the NRA

This is the place to post your news and reviews on anything that's firearm related (rifles, magazines, ammo, barrels, holsters, training classes, optics, etc). Please try to make the reviews as thorough as possible and include pictures, or links to pictures if possible, as well as price(s). Some syndicated content will go here as well.

Yeahhhhh.... I never said that lol.

This is exactly what I said above. People are unable to call out their own when they’re doing something wrong.

The point of the NRA is to advocate for the 2nd Amendment. If they’re going to continue to sit on the sidelines and take minimal action, then I have no interest in giving them my money, nor do I care what happens to them.

If, tomorrow, they did a 180 and became much more vocal and aggressive *in terms of ACTION* regarding pro 2A rights, then I’d happily support with my money and so forth.

But until I see that, my money will go to other groups and organizations that are ACTUALLY pro 2A; and not just pro gun

I'm not disagreeing with you Flash. I really do feel that if they aren't doing what they are supposed to and have said they would do with our money then I won't shed tears if they go away.

That said, I actually would be totally cool with WLP and his cronies taking awesome vacations and having super nice bespoke suits if they actually worked toward accomplishing something for gun rights beyond their admittedly excellent firearms trainer/training. That is my basic problem with the organization.

Additionally, the fact that people think the idea of the NRA ceasing to exist as an organization would be so absolutely terrible for us gun owners is a little absurd to me. Nature abhors a vacuum. It is pure capitalism. I don't like your service, I don't partake in your company or care what happens to you. Someone else will fill that vacuum if they want my business. Our voting block is simply too big to ignore and we will have a different voice rise up.

Will 2.5 mil hurt?
This is essentially the same thing that a number of other companies are selling as CCW insurance.

The difference being (according to the article) that the NRA didn't have an insurance license.
The state's investigation found the NRA earned commission on more than 28,000 sales on insurance products to its New York members, which the organization marketed in the state despite not having a proper insurance license.
I have no information one way or the other, but I am curious to know if any of those commissions found their way into the pockets of WLP, or any board member, or any company in which WLP or other board members had an ownership interest. Or their spouses, siblings, children, cousins, girlfriends, boyfriends, etc.

NRA says, "OK, yeah, you caught us. WLP and others were getting into the cookie jar. Sorry."

One thing is for certain - they were sidelined this critical election cycle.
Agreed. They were not a factor in this election, while a good argument could be made that they made the difference for Trump in the 2016 election.

If somebody were to say that the NRA cost Trump the 2020 election, I would tend to agree.

Everyone blames Trump for the bump stock ban, but what organization do you think sent him the thumbs up to ban them?

They in fact asked the ATF to review their stance on them.

Once again, their “compromise” slowly strips us of our rights.

They just called me again today.

Told them I frankly do not give a s*** if they close up their doors. Instead of Wayne holding the tin cup for money he needs to slap a mag into a rifle and lead. Those assholes been calling me nonstop asking for money.
