Suppressor for a 10/22 and S&W pistol

So need your thoughts on the next suppressor for a Ruger 10/22 which should be interchangeable with a S&W MP22.

I really don't know much but if I am going to push the $200 tax, please let me know what you think is the best

I own two; an older Gemtech Outback II and a SilencerCo Sparrow SS. Both are great suppressors...neither is better for a rifle vs a pistol...they just work on both.

There are so many mfg's and model out there, it's going to depend on your price point. Whatever you choose, make sure it is 100% serviceable by you, i.e. you can take it apart to clean it. Also, a mono-core suppressor is simpler clean.

Nothing is quite as messy and dirty as a 22LR. You are going to want to clean it after each shooting session to save some headaches down the line.

Rugged Oculus is my pick.

SilencerCo Switchback is promising but too new.

Dead Air Mask is a decent option as well.

If you want to shoot it this century, I'd eForm1 a suppressor and build it.

6-8 weeks vs 12 months.?.

I have a Gemtech that I run on a 10/22 and 4 threaded pistols. Delightfully quiet.

However, there are so many .22 cans on the market that I would say buy on price. (But get user-cleanable.)

FWIW, I bought a Mask back in September, but still waiting on the stamp.

My EF1 should be done here shortly after I get it engraved. Submitted that stamp in 12-2-18, approved 12-14-18. I'm waiting on a second EF1 suppressor stamp now, only submitted early January though. The shutdown has bogged the process.

The hot new rim-fire can is the Erector by Q. I will be putting in an order for some shortly. Let me know if you are interested. Super light, modular and does a great job silencing.

The Oculus is a great can and easily swapped from host to host.

Also just picked up the Q erector, it's stupid light. Really wish that guy wasn't such as ass.

Short video of the Oculus:

Just looked at that on-line... would the extra modules that long cause the suppressor to lose its accuracy?

I haven't heard anything about accuracy loss. If anything I would assume that it would help improve it. I looked last night and my distributor has them back in stock. PM me if you are interested in them or any others.

I have a sparrow and love the one piece baffle design for cleaning. Drawback is a noticeable first round pop due to the larger chambers. Still worth if the ease of cleaning imo.
As for accuracy, I’ve not seen a change in accuracy (consistency to group), but the point of impact will change a bit with and can.

Tried the Oculus and Erector today. Had 2 baffles removed from the Erector.
Oculus is quieter, Erector is much lighter.
