Not quite the "every Israeli keeps their service weapon" like it was mentioned here a while back..

"There's no intention to reach a situation like in the United States," he told public radio on Tuesday.
G_d forbid. Imagine the tragedy if some jihadist started in on his Allah Akhbar act in certain neighborhoods in Chicago.

Never understood why people reference Israel when discussing individual gun rights, but you see it all the time.

"Under the new regulations, any Israeli who had extensive infantry combat training can apply for a gun licence.
Most Jewish Israelis must complete obligatory military service after they turn 18, but only a minority receive such training."
How much training do infantry combat soldiers receive in
- shooting handguns
- carrying handguns concealed
'- drawing from concealment
- making shoot/no shoot decisions based on the law of justification for deadly force?

Everyone thinks Israel is this great gun country but in fact the US is a million times better than they are in gun rights. You wold think that a race of people that everyone wants to exterminate would have a full auto Galil in every home. Hell the constitution of Iraq allows every household to have a full auto AK-47, at least it was that way before we went in.

I think comparing any other country to the USA is not quite fair,... this is the greatest country that has ever existed through out earth's history of successful nations, imo!
I also think Israel's "great gun country" reputation stemmed from them arming teachers in schools,... when needed. A huge contrast to the USA,... as great as we are!

Yep, Israel is certainly overrated in that regard. Even reaching a situation analogous to that in Switzerland would be quite a leap.338lapua wrote: ↑August 23rd, 2018, 8:05 am Everyone thinks Israel is this great gun country but in fact the US is a million times better than they are in gun rights. Israel is a pragmatic country, hence arming teachers. It is NOT a gun friendly one.

Jews have not learned from history and they may someday repeat it. Maybe another bunch of Americans can give their lives to protect their stupid asses again.
