I love how the internet made the takedown process for the CCP a big deal, when it's really not.

I think the internet mostly made the terrible reliability of that pistol a big deal. The silly takedown was just a bonus.

The design principle is solid having been a success in the HKP7/13 pistols. Too bad Walther messed up the execution. Does the 2.0 version work better?

Based on the principle of the softcoil system, it has me totally intrigued.
I've been watching the youtube reviews and none have complained of reliability.
As a sub $400 gun I'm quite interested.
For those who have shot the soft recoil system, is there really a felt recoil difference to you?

My gf loves her ccp. I will admit, the tools takedown makes me want to trade it in just for that option alone.

I thought about that, and I'm of the mindset, that I'm only taking it apart at home to clean it anyways, or just keep it in the "gearbox" in case you want to do it in the field too.
I'm really on the verge of buying one.....
Maybe if one knew of a way to try one out, or a range that rents one.......
Shooter's World doesn't have one.
I would guess M1 or M2 would have the same recoil system

I have the pps m2. It doesn't really seem all that snappy. This thing must be super tame for them to call it soft recoil.

Yes, twice at the annual expo held at Ben Avery each March. The PPS M2 is a sweetie for sure, with a traditional-feeling striker-fired trigger function. Trigger on the CCP is more of a short, rolling DA in manner somewhat akin to a Kahr. That said, they're within ounces and dimensions of one another, and the CCP is faster in recovery, IMHO. The sights on the M2 are great OOTB, but the ones on the CCP suck like those of the Ruger LCP series. :D
