I like Slip2000 EWL, but admittedly it can gum up when left alone. I also like M-Pro7 and Militec-1.

I use 10W30 to lubricate, protect and rustproof and a never-ending jar of grease from a trailer wheel bearing job eons ago.

Me too, lasts forever. No need to spend money on fancy overpriced gun lubes

I caught the Frog Lube sales guy running a con at the Mesa Gun Show years ago. He stopped Mrs. Flash and told her how the lube was so slippery even she could rack a 1911 with ease. He gave it to her and sure enough, she racked it easily.

So I grabbed it, racked it and very loudly told the guy he should be ashamed of himself for putting a low power recoil spring in the gun.

He was speechless and that's the last time I saw him at the show.

I watched a video on School of American Rifle. The instructor uses a blend of synthetic motor oil and synthetic grease mix the two to get a thickness like honey. I pretty sure you can lube your pistol with it. I lube my AR & pistol. No issues.
