Good news! I know it'll still be a while but its getting closer. I'm wanting a Marlin 1894 in 45 Colt and that model and chambering won't be on the horizon yet but at least they're making some models again.

I wonder how the pricing will compare to previous incarnations?
What does anyone suppose will be the new nickname for current production? Ruglins? Margers? Sturm-lins?

Marlugers.
I have an 1894 CST and love the hell out of it. They only way it could be better is if they made it in a take-down version. THAT'S what I'm hoping for!
Re: Santa is bringing new Marlins
Exciting, but i will wait a while before even broaching one of these. Ruger will hopefully get it figured out but i am betting the first year production will produce issues. Ruger as well as other mfg. tend to bring things to market maybe sooner than they should and let the buying public be the beta tester. Or at least it seems that way. I hope they are not going to cheap out on the materials. It would also be nice if they fixed some of the inherent issues with the Marlin design. I assume the cost will be higher even than what we were paying before they went belly up. I did not see .45 colt or any other Pistol calibers on that 1894 list other than .44 Mag And .357. Which i realize will be there best sellers. The .45 colt would be appreciated by many.

My particular example of a .357 Henry was an extreme disappointment. Beautiful but had problems from day 1. Great that I will get a crack at another .357 lever and I like Ruger the company

The prices now days for lever actions are insane. I'd love to have 1 or 2, but I'd have to sell a kid!
