He was diagnosed with cancer at the beginning of the year. Find it interesting that they classified everything as a machine gun valued at $1000. Perhaps those were non transferable dealer samples?

Huh. I wonder what the ground truth is. Could be nuthin’ and the G wanted some splashy bust to grab headlines, or something more real. I’ve served and worked with a number of CAG guys i.e. “Delta”, “ACE”, SMU’s, whatever. Most were pretty good dudes, but there were some as crooked as the proverbial dawg’s hind leg. No idea which camp Vickers is in. Time will tell.

Maybe he expressed skepticism about the efficacy of masks.
Or voted for Trump.

That John Crump guy, and others, speculate that he failed to renew his SOT, having health matters of immediate concern. Since the evil offending arms were not transferred over to another SOT, now contraband.

We need more of the back story on this. Larry had been selling his collection for over a year. Looking at the list SIG550's, M240, Krinks, HK416, etc, they all appear to be post samples. The $1000 price on them all and the ZZ caliber somewhat indicates that they are receivers only. Stripping the parts and forfeiting the receivers would be a good way to liquidate your post samples easily and quickly.

Crazy hopefully its just an oversight and will be corrected. The amount of seized stuff across the countryis mind boggling and the valuation is obviously arbitrary not real. Not much in AZ however which is interesting.

Yeah, I'm suspecting they went to the ATF since they were dealer samples and without a current SOT they had to be surrendered. I don't know, however, why Larry didn't renew his SOT license unless it's because of the illness he's fighting.

If he was trying to sell them, he wasn’t trying very hard. There are always SOT’s looking for samples.
