I disagree with some of what the article said as I'm seeing ammo everywhere, just not at prices most people want to pay.

Even if you just cruise retailers like PSA, you see that things are starting to check back down. You can build a sub $500 AR again.

another media driven hack job on recovery, no doubt the supply and values will be short and expenses high, but time will tell as supplies begin to mount and the desire to hoard drops off, many will find another thing to fret over and hoard, just watch for it, the next big scare will create that NEW market, now if only one could finger out what that NEW market would be and practice that American free market tactics.

So many manufacturers / industries are learning from covid.

I overheard on the news the other day all the predicted "shortages."
Chickens, paper, wood, fuel, beef, etc.

Basically everything. And of course the sheeples will panic buy and the people who make the money will rake it in.

Sounds like market manipulation to me.

I am receiving emails from Wideners for items on sale. I have not received emails or even seen items available on Wideners since the beginning of Odumbos 2nd run. Stuff is available, just not at pre SandyconspiracyHook prices

Just this morning for the first time in about a year ... I got an email from Underwood with an in stock alert on something I had on my watch list. They have had virtually NO ammo on their site in all this time.

I think its a sign things are coming back. It was priced about $1 more than when they had regular stock 15 months ago.

I regularly, as in several times per day, check in with various online retailers with items I've been patiently waiting for. I haven't had any luck with email alerts...seems like the bigger online retailers gave up trying to email thousands of people when an item comes back in stock. Over the past 6 months I've set up hundreds of email alerts, and only received about 5 emails when product is back in stock...and I know the product I'm looking for has been in stock because I've happened to luck into seeing it "in stock"....no email received.

I have noticed an increase in the availability of 22 ammo from CCI and Federal...both sell ammo directly to consumers on their websites. It takes some patience, but I've been able to get all the 22lr I need, at normal prices.

Same with powder; Powder Valley and Hodgdon's site are updated constantly...you just have to be a bit lucky to check the sites at the right time to score some powder.

No luck on primers lately...I've only been able to get what I need from gun shows at stupid prices. But hey...supply and demand.

Yea .. I am on a few "Notify" lists for powder and I know it shows up .. but I never get the heads up. Guys that are finding it in stock are checking every day several times a day I guess. I am not yet in a position to get that nutty .... yet.

I did however get a notify yesterday from

https://www.targetsportsusa.com/

They received Magtech 10mm I had on a watch list so long I forgot I put it there so there system seems to be up?? It was the second alert in as many weeks I got from them for stuff on my "notify" list

Might want to give them a shot if you havent already if you are looking for any factory ammo.

I've used Target Sports for a few years...I fondly recall ordering cases of brass cased 9mm, shipped to my door, for less than $200. Ah, the good ole' days! Luckily, I always "bought cheap and stacked deep", so I'm good for a while. Just finished loading 1K of sub sonic 9mm on a single stage press....that was fun.

I'm one of those guys. I sit in front of a computer for a good portion of my work day and I have a fairly large string of bookmarks that I check a few times a day. It's worked well as I've found pretty much anything I want/need (but I don't even bother with primers).

Oh man I forgot about all the people that sit in front of a computer as part of work! Yea would be real easy to click a few links a couple times a day.

Damn .. Im never going to find some powder
Probably have enough to last a year but wouldnt mind adding.

In a related/unrelated sort of thing. I remember taking over for a guy back years ago. First thing I wanted to do was look over old contracts and suppliers he was using .. what I found was GIGABYTES of porn!! Some of it was .. ummmm ... DIFFERENT!

We had different management styles .. I hate sitting for to long but evidently .. my predecessor loved it!

know a couple of guys now in inside sales ... yup ... cant be selling all day I suppose!
