Colt has a long and distinguished history of making bad marketing decisions.

Maybe when the AWB sunseted they shouldn't have continued to adhered to its previsions for years afterwards. Protecting their government contracts while depending on their name to sell overpriced, neutered guns to the civilian market. If they had stayed competitive and innovated a little, maybe upstart competitors wouldn't have slowly taken over their market share. They would have had something to fall back on when their government contracts dried up. Just maybe.

Being acquired by a gun company as opposed to a private equity group gives hope that their story will end better than Remington's.

CZ greatly improved the quality if firearms at Dan Wesson and may provide the same improvement in quality at Colt as well.

I don't think it could have worked out better for Colt honestly. Outside of KelTec, I can't think of another firearm company as innovative as CZ. They've come out with a number of well thought out, well executed guns that are popular in the fastest moving market segments. Unlike KelTec, they're actually getting them to market in significant numbers and with good QC it seems.

I've owned and currently owned both Colts and CZ's, and I want more of both!

So what happens to all the new Snake guns. Is CZ going to cover warranties? Wonder how that transition will go?

I think I read that after early release hiccups they are reliable guns but ... I would be a little concerned about spending $1500 on a new Revo and having a suspect warranty but I could be overthinking it..
