DPS said it started because of heat? WTH? How hot was it?
They didn’t say the fire started from “heat” (although obvious statement is obvious that in order to have fire, you must first have heat somewhere...). They said:
“ DPS says the rounds did explode due to the heat, but nobody was injured.”
Which means some, or all, of the ammo exploded due to the heat from the fire.
2K rounds doesn't make a "truck full of ammo", more sensationalist news reporting for the ignorant and uninformed.
P.s. Another good reason to carry a fire extinguisher.
