Scottsdale-owned Gunbroker.com sells off Ammo Inc to Winchester

Somehow I missed this insider news 2 months ago,...and learned some local connections I was unaware of.

First of all,...I didn't know that GUNBROKER was based here in AZ. Second, I didn't know that the parent company that owns GUNBROKER also owned AMMO INC. And finally, apparently due to all the upheaval in the ammo company space these days due to supply chain issues from the war in Ukraine and Europe's frantic war footing binge,...GUNBROKER decided to sell off AMMO INC, which has been bought by WINCHESTER.

As a result, you will now be seeing AMMO INC marked product line inventories being sold off rapidly by retailers on clearance.

This helps Winchester to grow their market share in competition with CZ Group that had been seeking to gobble up American ammunition makers Federal and Remington. It's only a drop in the bucket by comparison, but perhaps indicates a wider consolidation trend and buying out of smaller competitors.

That’s unfortunate. Side effect of less competition in marketplace.

Myself, I haven't noticed any AMMO INC marked product line inventories being sold off rapidly by retailers on clearance. Of course, I don't see, or know of, every retailer's price movements.

Saw one highlighted on Mr. GunsNgear's Twitter account for some Bosnian boxer brass 7.62x54R. Might have been through Battlehawk Armory, I think.
