Observations of an Anonymous UPS Driver: “Customers I’ve Seen Since the ‘Rona”
The other day, I shared something funny on social media. A little bit of humor is good for us, even (and especially) in times like this. If anyone knows who originally wrote this, please let me know so I can give proper credit.
If you think about it, a UPS driver with a regular route gets to know a little bit about nearly everyone who frequently places orders. I hope this brings you a giggle. (Remember, fun is not the F-Word.) I also hope it reminds you to pay strict attention to OPSEC.
Here are some observations.
From an anonymous UPS delivery driver…

Almost stopped at the 5th customer type in the article but kept scrolling and it went up to 14.

I always tell my customers on my mail route that I know them better than they do. It's crazy how much even junk mail tells about you. This was funny though as that list fits the bill for a few of my customers.

You know a while back I was always told that city and county workers are spying on my house. If I'm building anything new, home improvements, anything that could possibly need permits that I might not have.

I have not personally run into issues with city workers before, but there is certainly one nosy neighbor on my street that would sell you out just for the joy of it. Now granted, I made the mistake this last time of moving into a place with a HOA, which is an error that I do not plan to repeat. All it takes is one insane neighbor with no girlfriend to weaponize the HOA.

My one consolation is that my deliveries come from USPS, UPS and FedEx so no one deliverer has the complete picture. Plus UPS and FedEx have multiple drivers around here.

Always surprised by how much the Mail man knows about everything going on in the neighborhood.
