Ok,...which one of you guys was this?

Discuss being prepared for contingencies and emergencies. Oh yeah, and the coming Zombie Apocalypse, of course!

MCSO finds undercover bunker containing guns, illegal drugs at Waddell storage facility

WADDELL, Ariz. - Authorities investigating the alleged theft of utilities at an RV storage facility in the west Valley discovered an underground bunker containing guns, illegal drugs, and cash.

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office says detectives served a search warrant on Oct. 25 at the Hole in One RV, Boat & Toy Storage facility, located near 143rd Avenue and Northern Parkway, after the owners were suspected of supplying their business with stolen electricity from a nearby Arizona Public Service junction box.

The owners of the facility, 61-year-old Laura Swink and her 35-year-old son, Steven Swink II, were arrested and booked into jail. They are accused of theft of service charges, criminal damage and obtaining utilities fraudulently.

While searching the facility, detectives found a large underground bunker, which consisted of several convex and semi-truck boxes that were stacked together to form the three-level bunker that was equipped with scissor jack elevators and tunnel ladder systems.

So they had built this complex bunker and elevator system and had stashed "$240,000 in cash" along with "gold and silver valued at $700,000", but they couldn't figure out how to "launder" a small amount of that cash through their business to pay the electric bill as to not draw attention to themselves? Dumb asses...

How do you accomplish digging a hole big enough to bury 3 stacked shipping containers and then place said containers in the ground without raising any attention to your activities?

Asking for a friend?

Exactly.

I used to live a pistol shot away from there. This is one of about 6 RV storage lots within a couple mile of each other. And this one is the seediest most run down of them. It always looked more like a construction company yard than a place you'd trust to leave your RV. And surrounded by agricultural fields crowing cotton and flowers and corn. So no neighbors to complain.

You build a large steel building over the area you want to dig and do your digging. Sadly police have ground penetrating radar and satellites can also see whats under ground.

Sure hope those guns hit the market, and not get destroyed.
