I take my RV out to the National Forests often. I can hit repeaters often with my HT, but don’t get much local activity. Found other campers are using GMRS. I got my license, and bought a radio. There’s a lot of activity there, and GMRS repeaters are popping up all over. License is still $70.00, but will be reduced to $35.00 soon. No test is required.
