Not even interesting, no instructors teaching basics, grip, sight picture, trigger control, and worse, carrying an "unloaded" weapon.

Unloaded weapon goes back 1948, when their TO&E had so many different weapons, they in reality, couldn't teach a manual of arms. Not enough manuals, to many arms. So, it's empty until you need it and here's how you load it. Inertia....

Yea, not news to me, I know why they do it, they're still too stupid and stubborn to actually carry a loaded firearm, and I'm surprised more people didn't die Oct. 7th because of it. Or, maybe they did, cuz they were too slow to get a round in the chamber and got shot.

There are no true civilians in Israel. Everyone has to do mandatory military service. You basically are in the reserves until your reach retirement age. Everyone in the reserve drills twice a year.
