Re-learning trench assault in the modern age

Here in the west, modern battle focuses quite a bit on room clearing and assaulting structure interiors.

But the return of WW1 trench warfare in Ukraine forces troops to focus on cleaning Russians out of ditches.

I hope I am not the only one who thought that exercise didnt look safe. There were a few times it looked like man 2 pointed at the back of the helmet of man one and when he fired from the rear position it appeared that if man 1 stood up some he was catching one. Guess I dont have an answer for what is a better way but .. didnt look at all safe to me.

I wonder how those bullets travel along the dirt walls vs the walls of harder structures.

Yeah that looked a bit sketchy, and now having to contend with a drone dropping kabooms on your head, all that training would have been for naught

I would rather listen to all the furies in hell than have to listen to that soundtrack again.
