[Crossposted from the azguns subreddit, some edits.]

There's plenty of stuff to do, fellas. Even if you're short on ammo.

Some of this is taken from the previous list I put together last quarter, so if you're curious as to what you missed, you can go over there and check it out.

=================
REMOTE LEARNING
=================

11/19, 12/17, 1/14: Active Self Protection - Winning the Fight after the Fight, for the Rest of Your Life

•John Correia is actually local to Arizona. While he and the rest of the ASP crew have been able to travel to a certain degree -- they had their annual Bullets and Bibles conference in Kansas not too long ago -- they haven't been able to do as many seminars as they normally do around the country, so they decided to stream them live on YouTube! Each lecture is/will be a little over two hours long, focusing on each individual aspect of Andrew Branca's Innocence/Imminence/Proportionality/Avoidance/Reasonableness paradigm, and you will be able to submit questions and comments in the chat, as well as access the archived recordings in the future.

Tim Herron Shooting - Remote Coaching and Online Training
•Tim is without exaggeration the nicest and compassionate teacher I have learned under. I don't know anyone else who offers a free 15-minute consultation up front. If you want an extended preview of what he is like to talk to, check out his appearance on the Civilian Carry Radio podcast last year.

11/5: Condition Orange Preparedness - Preparing for Riots and Civil Unrest

•Mike Treat, who some of you might also know of QSI Training, did not live very far at all from where George Floyd died, or very far from what happened afterward. Pay the twenty bucks if you want a couple hours to listen to and ask questions with somebody like-minded who actually went through what the rest of us will hopefully only ever have to think about, and the lessons he learned from it.

LOCAL OPPORTUNITIES
====================

Independence Training - Schoolhouse Focus Courses, Willcox Emergency Response
•Independence Training has very recently moved into their new office, where they've already started teaching classroom lectures about topics that might be briefly mentioned but not covered in depth with their regular curriculum. Check out all the topics here. And if you haven't taken their regular stuff yet because you're further down south and just can't make it to the places they usually teach, they're doing a pretty good package deal for that which will help you apply for a CCW permit, actually teach you concealed handgun skills even if you've never handled a gun before, and cover emergency medical skills and equipment, all in the first weekend of December in Willcox.

At a Range Near You - Fall/Winter Competitions
Look at /u/fmj556 's thread here. Don't forget the Pima Pistol Club down in Tucson and Yavapai Recreation League up in Prescott will also be ramping up matches around this time of year as well, among many others.

TRAVELLING TRAINERS
====================

11/21-11/22: Presscheck Consulting - No-Fail Pistol
•Most classes you see here are not meant for students who are new to shooting, or who haven't quite had the basics of holster work ingrained yet, but they can get by as long as they continue to remain safe. If you are interested in this class and want to get the most out of it, it is strongly recommended that you ALSO have an understanding of your capabilities at 25 yards on a B-8, and that includes with strong hand and support only. The tuition is on the higher end of the price point for a two-day thousand-round handgun class, and as long as you have the time and ammunition to stay after day two is over, Chuck will continue to hang around and show you what else he knows. There's a reason why WMLs and handheld lights are on the optional packing list...

12/12-12/13: Citizens Defense Research - Technical Handgun, Tests and Standards
•For twenty hours in your life, John Johnston has you step outside of competition or defensive context completely, introducing alternative approaches to the fundamentals of stance, grip, sight, and trigger, with some nifty and challenging tests along the way. This is a good class for serious students of the pistol to assess their ability to adapt and perform while trying something different than what they're used to, and for beginning students who have some familiarity with both holster fundamentals and pistol fundamentals, but haven't been to a competition or a class that introduces the pressure of shooting with a timer and shooting with everyone else on the line watching them. It very much feels like checking into a yoga clinic.

12/19-12/20: Tim Herron Shooting - 2-Day Practical Performance
http://timherronshooting.com/schedule.html
•If Gabe White is bridging the gap more from the defensive side, Tim Herron is bridging the gap more from the competition side. Whatever your reasons for getting better, you will make measurable improvements as shown on the timer for efficiency of movement and vision so that you can make better decisions behind the gun. You can be a high-level gamer looking to shave tenths of a second, or a new owner who just bought their first belt and holster, and Tim will give you more individual coaching and feedback than anybody on this list short of paying for a one-on-one lesson. There are very few, if any, USPSA Grandmasters like him offering what he does at his price, and since it has been pointed out to him so often, he will be raising his tuition after this year. Here's a preview of some of his stuff.
