AP hit piece on Constitutional Sheriffs Org

#1

Post by Suck My Glock »

Those of you older than 45 may recall Sheriff Mack of Graham County who successfully fought Clinton and Congress on the 1994 Brady Bill all the way to the Supreme Court. After being sheriff, he founded the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association, to educate LE about their role as vanguard against over-reaching government that seeks to make them the stormtroopers of tyranny.

Mack was always above board and careful to not stray into anything other than advocacy for the proper role of law enforcement and restraint on blindly implementing policies without verifying the constitutionality of such. Never able to be goaded into saying anything twistable into something incendiary or usable by the left's agenda, they have tried to ignore Mack, hoping he would just eventually fade away.

But that hasn't worked. And although CSPOA's growth has been slow, it has been steady. And that pace has been picking up in recent years. So now, the left is scared of Mack and the CSPOA. Thus, the active public media slur campaign against constitutionally-minded LEOs has begun in earnest, describing the constitutional LEO movement as part of a "broader insurrectionist ideology".

Read the AP story here, but it is essentially written by the ASU Cronkite Journalism School twats downtown.
