I tried working with the promag yesterday and what I found wasn't so much the follower binding but rather the .45 cartridge was too big for the mag body and that would get hung. Since I can't widen the mag body, I think I'm stuck with a useless mag.

I tried some for my sig 232, they worked good with the ball ammo, not good with the hollow point. I bought a high point c-9 just because , the worst problem I had with it is terrible mags. Believe it or not the pro mags are better than stock. So there is that . BTW. I carry the 232 with stock mags, the high-point is a toy just to see what I can do to it.
