Happy ending

Are you having problems with a rifle or handgun? Having problems with a magazine? This is the place to post for help or to help others. If you fixed that nagging problem with your AR-15, this is the place to post how you did it.

Happy ending

Phillipino ATI 1911, I don’t know what pocessed me to buy it in the first place, think I was under the influence and doing some late night shopping, bad combination! Anyhow first couple hundred rounds of .45 went down the pipe without a hitch, then it all started, stovepiping all the damned time, frustrating as he!!, tore it all apart threw it in a box and shoved back in the deep dark recesses of a cabinet. Drug it out not long ago and contemplated buying some parts for it, frame and slide all fit really well, so I thought I’d drop a couple of pieces in it (Wilson extractor, guide rod and spring) just to see if that would cure it, it did, moral of the story, no buyie cheapie chit when drunk!

Or texting while impaired! I thought those cheap Filipino guns had a tremendous warranty?

How many different types of mags did you use? Even cheap 1911's tend to shoot well if proper mags are used.

i've owned and do own a gaggle of the imports, phip, turkey yada yada yada, and when they don't function, has either been ugly recoil spring, but generally a mag issue, i've a gaggle with thousands down them, but only after dealing with as noted issues, nothing wrong imo, sometimes a little work to make something achieve is goal is a very good learning experience.
probably just me though
