Saiga 12 issues
Anyone have any Saiga 12 knowledge?
I'm having an issue with the bolt hold open button not releasing. I managed to get it apart and reset it but after 2 shots it locked the bolt back.

The manual bolt hold open button down down by the trigger guard, or some new fangled auto bolt hold open?

Re: Saiga 12 issues
Maybe it's bouncing up during recoil or a mag issue.
I would check the spring on the lever and also the clearance around the back of the magazines you're using.
I haven't messed with an unconverted saiga in a while so ymmv.

I would check to see if you have to spring installed correctly.

Re: Saiga 12 issues
The manual bolt hold open on Saigas are only for the first initial charge.
Once you begin shooting, it is the magazine that holds the bolt open once the magazine is empty.
The is a feature in the magazine. They all do not do it right...
Saiga is very picky with mags.
I could be wrong. Just trying to help.....

I heard later models came with a BHO, but base models only have the button BHO.TheJediknight wrote: ↑May 5th, 2021, 7:31 am The manual bolt hold open on Saigas are only for the first initial charge.

I liked my Saiga however I had to get rid of it cause I never could complete a 3-gun match with it.

Re: Saiga 12 issues
Saiga 12 has malfunctioned during a match for me.
I have to clean it every time before and use the right ammo.
It has a Glockmonger treatment that I am sure helps.
