Discuss work on firearms; whether that is making yours from the ground up, milling an 80%, putting together a kit, or fine tuning a trigger job.

Drilling an AR barrel for a shight block.

I'm building an AR with a Faxon on barrel. I want a sight block on it. The barrel did not come predrilled.

Anyone drilled and reamed an AR barrel before? How did you manage to not mess it up? Did you create/buy a jig.

I've found a video on YouTube, and the way the guy did the work included a bunch blue painters tape to align the parts. Looked risky to me.

$250 for a jig! I guess it is off to a gun store.
