Choke tube install recommendations, local or ?

Discuss work on firearms; whether that is making yours from the ground up, milling an 80%, putting together a kit, or fine tuning a trigger job.

Choke tube install recommendations, local or ?

I've got a shotgun barrel that I want to have cut for screw in chokes. Any local shops do good work? I'll also take out of state recommendations.

Lawson's in Tucson did one for me.
As long as the barrel is thick enough to thread they can do it.

Carlson's Choke Tubes out of Atwood, KS was recommended to me by most of the CASS shooters, and they did an awesome job on my Winchester '97. I sent them the barrel and had them cut it down, thread it for tubes (2 or 3 tubes and the wrench came with it) and install a brass bead.

Can't remember the price for the life of me, but it's on their site; very reasonable.

Another vote for Carlson's. They are a great outfit to deal with.
