Any chance someone in the valley has a dimple die for a 0.875" AR10 barrel that they'd be willing to loan me for a day or two (heck - I guess I could bolt the vice to a plank in the truck bed and dimple the barrel in your driveway if it made you more comfortable. Happy to leave a deposit... or buy it from you and sell it back to you the next day... or???
The next step is to buy one - but it'll be a while before I need it again - so figured I'd go begging first...

Thanks @QuietM4 ... I'm OCD enough that I'll probably buy a die... I hate the idea of not having training wheels for that sort of thing.

It's stupid easy. I've dimpled barrels for hundreds of customer builds, never once used a jig. Set screws make marks, center punch middle of the mark, drill a dimple. Super easy. Takes less time than setting up a jig.
