Local source for little AR parts?

Local source for little AR parts?

#1

Post by smithers599 »

I bought a pre-owned AR10 from a friend who took it in trade without firing it. She no workie. It appears that the original owner built it from a parts kit, but used some wrong parts, and left out a couple of parts.

Right now, I need a bolt stop plunger, and the spring and ball bearing for one of the takedown pins that is not "captured" as it should be. I can get those parts from Brownells or Midway, but the shipping is two or three times the cost of the parts.

Is there as store in the Phoenix metropolitan area that sells little parts?

I’d give Black Metal firearms a call. They build AR10s so they must have spare parts.

I gave up and ordered it online. Broke my heart. $2 plus $8 shipping. Ordered a couple other small parts while I was at it, so it wasn't a total loss.

Pistol Parlor or Wright Armory in Mesa. Call ahead to see what parts they have...Pistol Parlor is going to have a lot of upgraded parts, but I know they have some basic build parts also. Wright Armory in Mesa will have most of the small AR parts on hand for their own repairs, but they will sell them if you ask.

Healy's or Alpha Dog in Tempe have some basic parts, as well as upgraded parts.

Scottsdale Gun Club has some basic build parts and upgraded stuff.
