I don't know what it would take to finish this into a functioning specimen, but at $90,000 bucks, that is dirt cheap for a minigun,...apart from that whole prison thing. Last transferable one I saw advertised was $250,000 and that was more than a few years ago.

I can remember a fully transferable minigun selling in the 70's for $5,000, and that seemed like a fortune.

It obviously is missing the rotor housing, that is a difficult part to machine, even from an 80% casting

Crane Technologies, website is down. used to be a source for the investment cast housings and other parts. Housings were 15K last time I was there. Then you need the fixture which you have to make as I have never heard of anyone with one for sale. If you dont have a housing you would need the specs and know how to make a housing out of wax and then the materials to coat it for the lost wax casting method. Timkin makes the gears and bearings for it.

There was a time many years ago when a machine shop near a airport sold heat treated rotors for $2500 and well as every other part needed except for the motor and rotor as he made the Dillon parts for them. Mike told friends who wanted to build one to go there for parts.

Early 90's there was a company in north Phoenix that had demilled a bunch of GE guns for the military in the late 70's and prior to the ban had rewelded the rotors and housings after registering them. They sold for 18K each. I overheard a conversation of a guy who wanted to buy the last 3 of them they had for sale and he was going to buy them the next week. They were bought that day since he mentioned the company that had them. I still remember the days of $400 H&K registered trigger housings, $400 H&K sears, $500 side plates for 1919's and $600 sideplates for 50 cals. Was a great time back then. Oh and $300 1919 and ANM2 parts kits that were imported into the US before they shut that down.

I miss the good old days of America.
