Any guesses on this one?

This is the highest detail I could get. All I have is a couple pictures. I have no physical access.
Anyone have any guesses, from the picture, about how this bayonet mount is secured to this barrel?

the coating they used on some of the units is like jb weld, heat, give it a try

When I saw it the first thing I thought of was maybe JB Weld or an epoxy.

Yay, turned out to be JB Weld.
And now the barrel is clean
