FAL Barrel Threading?

#1

Post by randall_dubya »

Anyone know of someplace that could handle this task? I've got a stripped Israeli FAL barrel (no gas block installed yet), looking to get the muzzle threaded 9/16x24 LH. Years ago I had an AR barrel threaded by Sun Devil in Mesa, but it looks like they've since closed up shop, otherwise I'd see if they were up for it.

The closer to Casa Grande the better, but I'm not opposed to driving up to Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe, etc. If all else fails I suppose I could make the trip up to ARS in Surprise, but if I could find something nearer to me, I'd prefer it.

Thanks in advance.

Pretty sure Lee Armory could handle it. They dont just work on AKs. They are just off of the I10 by 32nd st. They have done all matter of interesting stuff for us.

It has been a few years but ARS was always backed up months.
Since I am lazy, I would just ship it off to ADCO.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'll be doing a bit more research on the local options, appreciate the tips. If nothing else, I suppose I could get with DSArms and see if I could ship the barrel back for them to thread, haha.

Might be something PCR could handle. They cut and threaded a Marlin barrel for me. I broght the gun to them assembled, and it was only around $100.
