Flitz?

What is Flitz and how do you use it on smoothing out a glick trigger?

Flitz is a metal polish.
I don't know about triggers, but I knew a gunsmith who smoothed out slide rails by "lubricating" them with Flitz and racking the slide a jillion times.
Maybe you are supposed to "lubricate" the trigger contact points with Flitz and pull the trigger a jillion times?

Flitz is the bomb!

Polish like using wax on your car either by hand or mechanical buffer...Dremel soft pad (low speed), great stuff goes a long way, use a little at a time.

as noted, best stuff for settling in a match finish and fit. use it a lot on many things, get a dremel and attach to buffer pad, makes polishing a whole lot easier

Be careful when buying because there are different flitz formulations available. I like it for general cleaning and a nice shine but prefer rouge for real smoothing and have it in several grades. White is usually the least aggressive and you can get green red and brown and probably more. Comes in a hard like cake. I run the soft Dremel wheel on it to charge the wheel and like tenring said run it slow. They last forever as my bricks have been around some 25- 30 years.

Be sure to buff/wipe off all excess especially in all the little nooks and crannies, it is not grease and will eventually harden.

Q-Tips are your friend......

I have actually polished two AR15 milspec triggers and disconnectors to a point of binary operation, not 100%, but I'm happy with the results I can get polishing

I use it on my knives too, but use q-tips to apply where this guy uses his finger.

I used it to clean up and polish the brass receiver on a Henry rifle. Made it a thing of bling beauty. There were warnings though to take care around the blue screws. It polished the blued barrel just fine so I wonder what process was used on the blue screws to make them blue.

I have a Silver Henry that I removed the receiver to polish, thing is like a mirror now.

I have a couple of glicks ... Thought I would just let the doctors remove them instead of using flitz!

I used to use Flitz on my Glicks, but it really worked wonders on my SMYTH @ WEESONS. Now on my GOLTS, I only use Mother's. However, Turtle wax seems to do the trick on my FM pistols and RUPERS.
