I have 2 of them, not sure which one is newer, but they are stamped differently.
One for a 1911 is stamped in a black circle and says Silent Thunder Garrett Industries.
One for a Sig P220 is stamped in an oval and says Garrett USA.
They look identical as far as build and quality, like them a lot.

I have two, one for a 9mm and the other for a .45. Quite happy with them. I learned with the first one not to bend the belt fastener too much when changing to another pair of pants. The first one broke within a year. The replacement has lasted for 4 or 5 years and still works as well as new. Also learned to check the screws periodically.

So overall comfort and retention is good then ? This would be a replacement every day carry for a Kahr TP45.

Excellent quality with leather lined kydex. Solid retention with smooth quiet draw.

I find mine quite comfortable. I have forgotten to replace the pistol after removing it for a doctor's appointment and didn't miss it until after I got home. I don't think a full thickness leather holster would work as well. I also don't care for the noise of drawing from a plain kydex holster. The thin leather lining does the job.

As for retention--It is adjustable. If I were as athletic as that notorious FBI agent in the dance video, I don't think the pistol would fall out.
