What is this?

This is the place to discuss shooting-related gear: LBV's, Tac, BDU's, etc...

What is this?

Post by Boriqua »

Bought a mag from CDNN and they often send free prizes so when my mag arrived yesterday there was a package with 4 plastic bits. So it looks like two pieces are mag loader assists

but

I have NO idea what the shorter thing with wings are. I sat there like a monkey trying to fuk a football trying to fit in in the other taller pieces, broke out a few magazines turned it this way and that .... thought they might be extruders for making bread sticks

What the hell is it?

They all look like mag loaders to me, but two do look worthless.

They look like loaders for single stack mags. The narrower one looks like it is for .22 pistol mags Ruger, Browning perhaps. Slide it over the mag and it pushes down the follower pin.

AHhhhh. The only damn mags I didnt drag out. Thank you everyone!!! I was going nuts. Going to go take out the mag to the sr22 now. They are so very easy to load as is but maybe my wife will dig the plastic thingy!

Edited
Well it doesnt work for the SR22 and I just realized the SR22 mags come with an assist in the form of tabs on either side that can be pulled down. Neat. I think I have fired 5 rounds through that gun so I hadnt noticed. My wife loves it. Can take an eye out at 7 yds but .. I never warmed to it.

Still .. it was cool to find out what they were!

I can see how they'd work well with the Ruger mags.

Once you figure out how to use mag loaders they can be very helpful.
