Hmmmm,...armor plates, maybe?
Hmmmmm.
$10 bucks, huh?
Ok,...probably just soft mild steel and won't do nuthin' to stop rifle fire.
Buuuuuutttttt,...I bet they stop handgun bullets just fine.

What do you do about frag? I found some "anti frag" bags for mine with level 2 kevlar inside.Suck My Glock wrote: ↑December 26th, 2024, 1:50 pm scuba plates.jpg
So a friend snapped this picture today at American Discount in Mesa. Supposedly these are scuba diving plates, meant to help you sink when diving. But they fit in a vest,...much like AR500 plates do.

You can try anything once, but I wouldn't bet my life on it.
I'd be more interested in using those as steel targets, IMO. $10 is worth a try....I'd bet it would handle a 9mm perfectly fine.

Re: Hmmmm,...armor plates, maybe?
If someone buys one - please post pictures of what both handgun and rifle rounds do to it. Guessing it's mild steel - and other than testing how mild steel of that thickness handles various rounds I'd probably not want to use it for shooting purposes. If for some reason it behaves like AR500 material - it would be a great deal... but I'm thinking the odds are long.
As to using it in a plate carrier... I'm of the opinion that there are few things that are more worth "buy once cry once" type spending than body armor and defensive use firearms... so... for me... these get a big "nah..." for that purpose.
