Does anyone know if Bianchi ever made the 9R (upside down shoulder holster for j-frame sized guns) in a left hand harness? I know the v2 holster had belt slots on both sides, but AFAIK, they only made a RH harness. Figured someone might know more than I about it. I've not been able to find anything. I may need to find the holster and make the harness....
There may be different generations, but the one pictured above should be ambi. If you lay that out, there are two ends with three snaps, and each “end” of the leather strap should have two slits, one hi and one low. Should be able to lay it out and reverse everything.
Don’t want to get in trouble, but here is one on ebay if it will link.
Thanks for the replies. I've spoken to the guy at Vintage Gunleather, and while the holster itself is ambidextrous (on a belt, too), the harness would be rough-out if you flip it. I've thought about getting some leather and cutting a new harness, but then I'd have to get new snaps since the ones in the 9R aren't removable as far as I know.
Also the one that's on eBay is for a 2" K-frame, and I need i for a J-frame.

I have one.
I don't think it can be reversed.
You would have to reverse the harness and wear the suede part on the outside.
How do you like it?
I've thought about just getting a RH version and learning to draw right-handed. Not ideal, but doable.
I really haven't used it a whole lot to really say.
I bought it used several years ago and never really did use it.
It does hold the gun good though.
The one I have does not have the belt slots on it.
This is the one I have.
It has snaps to adjust it for the holster.
So basically , you would have to reverse the snaps and wear the rough out on the outside to make it left handed.
It is marked Bianchi , 9-R 2-1/2" , 357.
It's marked 357 , but all the guns in the picture are 38's.
I have to say it is a comfortable way to carry a J Frame.
Model 60 2"
Model 36 2"
Model 37 3"
The 3" bottoms out , but it holds it.
It holds them all just fine. The guns not coming out of it.
