Can't trust CCW holders?
Got a renewal notice for my CCW permit. The notice specifically stated personal or business checks were not acceptable. Seems strange, considering the necessity of a background check to get the permit, that the DPS cannot trust our personal checks.

Too much labor involved. Everything is electronic now.

I have always payed with a money order. I just go down to the office at DPS head quarters and turned everything in. Never had a problem.

This is nothing new...they have never accepted personal checks. Money Orders or Cashiers Check only.

How many bounced postal money orders do you think they have had to deal with?

Just because you have a CCW doesn't mean you are faithful at paying your bills.
