It's now legal to carry a concealed handgun without a permit in South Dakota.

In signing the legislation Thursday, Gov. Kristi Noem made her state the latest to allow the practice. It's the first bill she's signed into law since she took office last month.

And she's a looker, too. :D

Good for them. I like South Dakota. Need to do a road trip up to there.

That is great. The South Dakota neighbors on our Eastern border are fine folks. You now join Wyoming with permit less carry.

These Constitutional carry laws are a good thing but you have to be careful: some of the states who have enacted them specifically state the law applies to RESIDENTS of the state only so if you're travelling through or visiting you'll still need a CCW that is accepted by that state. You just about have to read the law to find this out, it needs to be highlighted in a better way somehow; of all places, Wikipedia appears to show this! I think the SD law, for now, applies to anyone but there is a push to make it for "residents only".

Idaho, North Dakota and Wyoming are listed as "resident only".

Ultimately, the usual warning applies: YOU are responsible for knowing the CC laws of any states you are going to.
