Over the years training with a few different folks, I've changed from strong side IWB G17 and surefire X300, over to Glock 19 appendix.

I also carry my spare mag appendix opposite my holster.

Just to the right of that, a short fixed blade.

Having my tools in front of my hips allows me quicker access, easier ambidextrous use, and more positive retention, regardless of position.

So I guess my factors are those listed above this sentence.

I prefer to carry IWB, but I wind up pocket carrying more often. I've got so much into the habit that I upped my game from a 380 pocket gun to a 9mm.

Interesting, never would have guessed!!I have an IWB at 2;30-3:00. If it is appendix it digs in when I sit.
Glock 19 and a S&W M&P carry pretty well like this. Not going to say it is the most comfortable way to carry but I can make a Glock 34 disappear this way. Just make sure you oil the entire slide often, I did have a Glock 22 rust the slide to the rails like this. I was at Ben Avery when I could not eject the carry round and the RSO wanted to take my gun somewhere to clear and I said eff that and fired it at the target and looked at him and said cleared it. I racked the slide a few times and put a mag of practice ammo in and he about had a melt down. He said aren't you going to oil it and I said no it's only a Glock, ran a few hundred rounds through it and went home.

Sig 365 in a milt sparks Versa Max 2 holster, IWB, right hip.

Why ? - 365 holds a lot of 9 in a small light package. IWB with belt loops so it stays put, and does not print as much. Nothing beats a Vertx cover shirt like the assessor polo. Right hip, because if I have to tangle and get into a physical match, I keep my hip away from the opponent. Cant get all MMA and jujitsu on folks if you appendix unless you like a pistol sandwich.
Train a little- a lot !

When I was wearing a suit and tie I would carry a g17 in a right hand cross draw and my primary g17 on a right hip OWB.

And 2. 32 round glock stick mags under my left armpit. It's called a New York magazine change. While you are standing with your hands crossed in front of you, you already have your hand on a glock. If you have to draw, you start with your cross draw run it out drop it and before it hits the ground you have already drawn the other 17. Its the fastest way to get 34 rds down range before you go to stick mag. If you practice you can easily start shooting your 2nd glock before the 1st glock hits the ground.

Used to use Alien Gear IWB but after mounting lights to all my guns, it was no longer comfortable. I switched to OWB holster and magazine carrier at 0600/0900 with a cover shirt. No matter the gun it works.
