Re: CCW wait time
Checking back in here for anyone following. After 75 business days, I called into the CCW office and they were able to push my renewal through.
Good side: I finally got my renewal
Bad: Took 4 months and they used my original expiration date so I'm losing 3 months on this renewal cycle

Mine just showed up today, right at 2 months.rockbronco wrote: ↑July 30th, 2021, 7:46 am Mailed mine 2-3 weeks ago. Nothing yet. In the past turn around was always quick for me on renewals, didnt think anything of it until I saw this post. I still have about a month left until it expires, will see if it shows before then.

One of my buddies had his (renewal) hung up for a bit. Called and asked WTF. The guy on the phone told him it was because of a DUI 15 years ago. Something that isn't taken into consideration. Said guy was like "huh", and put it through. He got it a couple days later.

Exactly what I do every time I renew.kenpoprofessor wrote: ↑September 16th, 2021, 7:56 pm You guys realize you can print your own renewal notice and send it in, right???

One of the reasons I got a CCW originally(not the main reason) was the issues getting approved every time I bought something due to my common name. It took forever and always had to provide a social which I didnt like. My initial CCW permit took much longer then others at the time but following renewal years where always very quick.

Re: CCW wait time
I had a reminder on my calendar to renew 60 days in advance. I sent in my renewal exactly 60 days in advance. Permit arrived after 68 days, so I was permitless for 8 days.
I have put the next reminder on my calendar for 2026, 90 days in advance. I hope that will be sufficient.

They won’t process it. Can’t submit more than 60 days out.
They are saying 75 to 90 days to process… that’s govt logic for you.

Re: CCW wait time
OK, so can't process before 60 days, but they pretty much guarantee that your permit will lapse. Nice.

Re: CCW wait time
Don't forget, they're saying 75 business days to process. I submitted mine ~50 calendar days before expiration and received the permit about 75 calendar days after it expired. So more like 125 total days. Even allowing a couple days on both sides for postal, that was a whole lot of wtf is taking so long?

Re: CCW wait time
While the wait time has been long I'm not sure what all the angst is considering having the permit does allow some other benefits but overall it's not Earth shattering without one.
