That last round to the back, which was apparently the fatal one, may have been a little questionable.

maybe if it had been delivered when he was already down the path in retreat but it looks like all three were delivered in the doorway. No way "I" would call that one questionable but I guess out of 9 people someone did.

Isn’t there a rule about identifying your target somewhere in there? If you can’t see your threat to begin with, how do you know when there’s no longer a threat?

uh daughter did identify the fella, and he meant harm, oh wait. 'lets open up and see if its really him, it might be a mirage, we do live in a desert, ya know,
probably an old guy who may not have a chance against a 20 years old, yeah, open door and say, ''no thank you'' oh wait could there not be a window near by that shows the door, but wait there was a ring, they pretty much knew who it was and intent.
quit the observer.
not being critical just pointing out obvious issues, jmo though and not worth anything to a numbers guy

Do you really think “identity your target” means asking for ID?

According to what I read the shooting started when the door was breached so dad was able to identify the target

I don’t disagree that this guy could see what he was shooting at. Dingleberry decided to chime in and claim the guy couldn’t see he was retreating because he couldn’t see through doors, and you’re apparently just supposed to shoot through the door until the threat you can’t see is over. Just make sure you ask for ID first.

Read the story on another news site this morning. The cops took 8+ minutes to get there once called so Dad was on his own.

Second ... The daughter broke up with the loser 1.5 years ago. So he was going to be one of those nuts who wasn't going to stop until he killed her. Speculation .. of course .. but you read enough stories about these losers and there is a pattern.

Violently break through a front door when you know there are people inside. Dad made it clear he was armed and barked for him to go away ... Oh well .. in my estimation .. he got what he asked for.

Warren V DC, similar case, and now cops have no duty to protect.

Interesting that this article refers to nut boy as a victim?

He raced up behind them in the driveway, They ran into the house and locked the door. He pursued them and broke either the door frame or door that was deadbolted. I dont think he was a "Victim" at all.
