What is this thing?

Discuss firearm optics, sights, and scopes here (magnified, red-dot, iron sights, etc).

What is this thing?

This is absolutely going to come off as the most stupid question today, but I have to ask.
I just bought this ADE reflex sight and mounted it on my Taurus TX22. I could not be happier.

However, it came with this disc. I appears to have something to do with adjusting the sight, but does it attach somewhere? How do I use it? I've been using red dot sights for decades, and this is the first time I've seen this gadget included. :?:

doesn't it fit in the adjustment hole and serve as a screw driver or adjuster
just thinking out loud, one can never remember which direction is up or down on some, as each site is typically different than the next manuf

There is an adjustment screw for windage and elevation for a flat head screwdriver. I see no way of attaching it there, but good thinking!

Here's the windage and elevation screws. I don't see any way of attaching it.

It’s a adjustment/timing wheel. Trijicon RMR’s used to come with something like that years ago, when they first came out. But the Trijicon version fit into the adjustment windage/elevation screw on the RMR.

That sounds plausible. I think they put it in the wrong box? Maybe it fits one of their other optics. I'm going to send them an email. Thanks!

I was going to say you need to stick the tool through the center of it. I had the same thing for a small red dot (I think it was a Tasco) and you stuck a small allen wrench through it to make precise adjustments. Glad you figured it out.

Yes, this, The Shield RMSs come with it, and you stick the micro allen wrench thru it
