Where to buy a scope?

Discuss firearm optics, sights, and scopes here (magnified, red-dot, iron sights, etc).

Where to buy a scope?

#1

Post by Roneyj »

In need of a scope for an AR10. Would like to support a local shop. I am fully aware I could save money online but, would rather give my money to someone in the community. Suggestions for a local shop preferably in the east valley that has a good selection of optics?

Thanks

I am not set on anything in particular. Not looking to spend a lot, $250-$500. Probably something around 4x-12x. I like the Nikon P-308 but since they have been discontinued I cannot find one in stock.

Quentin Defense has a pretty decent selection, and they're in Gilbert. May be worth a look, anyway.

Have you had many good experiences with them? I put an order in with them a few weeks back. I know everyone is getting hit hard with orders right now, but they sat on my order for almost three weeks without shipping it. I just canceled it and ordered from somewhere else. Someone told me (after the fact) that they label a lot of stuff on their site as in-stock when it's actually not. I don't know if that's true or not.

Good look finding the scope you're looking for!

Bad experience with Optics Planet here. I order a Mossberg heat shield on April 15, it showed in stock and was supposed to ship by the 20th. Then it changed to May 4 and now it shows no ETA. The item was listed in stock. I will never order from them again. If it shows in stock that means nothing to them. Just a bunch of liars.

Best Nightforce, Good Leupold, best for the money. In my opinion. Is SWFA. 300.00 for a 20 or 30 power scope. I used mine on a AR10 at 1000 yards. The glass was great for the money!!
