Nikon say's they will no longer make scopes

Nikon is getting out of the scope business.
It makes you wonder how they will handle their lifetime warranty on scopes.

That’s too bad. I like their scopes and have used them on everything from .22 to .338 Win.

Watch for some good sales on Nikon scopes as dealers sell off their inventory.

They where a good scope at a fair price for hunting or target rifles. My Nikon's where nice scopes for the money.

I have had a few of their scopes over the years.
I still have a couple.
I have used them in some pretty rugged conditions and have never had a reason to complain.
They did make good scopes.

Then again they might say " You can't get these anymore. The are collectables now. " ( enter sarcasm meme here ).

Well this sucks. I use a Monarch on my hunting rifle and love it, wondering about the lifetime warranty too.

I didn't know that... I have one sitting on a 22 mag. Has anyone had a warranty issue yet? I'm anxious to know how it went down.

I have always had good luck with their scopes, and they were always reasonably priced.

Vortex seems to have really dominated that section of the market, I bet that had alot to do with them shutting down.

I got a gun in trade awhile back that had a Nikon scope on it.
The scope wouldn't track.
I sent it to Nikon and they completely refurbished it.
They did a good job and I got it back within a month of sending it out.

I really liked their scopes. The BDC scopes work well and they have a great progam/app where you can put in your ammo choice, pick your zero and get a graphic with where the distances compare to the reticle points. I have one on my Mossberg MVP in .223 and just put one on my sons Ruger American in 7.62x39.
