Just picked up a CZ 457 for small game and for teaching the wife and kids. Can't make up my mind what to get for it. Fixed 4x? 1-6x? 2-7x? Probably looking at sub-$400 and from 10 to 100-yd +/-.

I have a Nikon P-Tactical Rimfire and really, really like it. I believe it is 2-7x.

I have it mounted on a CZ-455 Tactical Target Trainer that I bought off a member here and it is such a fun/accurate combo to shoot.

All the scopes on my .22"s are Leupold.
Some are fixed power and some are 3-9 power.

Yup, love my Nikon scopes. Too bad they don't make them anymore. Never bought Leupold but a solid option. Part of my problem is all my other 22s have been open sights. Tried scopes on a couple, but eventually took them off. This one didn't even come with irons lol. So no choice but to scope it.

Look into Vortex as an option. Excellent scopes and they have many models to choose from.

I have a 452 with the Vortex 2-7x32. It's SFP with a BDC reticle, capped turrets, and seemed ideal for a walk about squirrel and rabbit rifle. My other favorite hunting scope is a fixed 4x like the Sightron SII 4x32, which lets in lots of light and is very light weight. You have to find the Sightron used now, and it's often about $200.

I'll be buying a 457 this summer for NRL22 competitions. That will sit under a SWFA 12x42 fixed power, which are about $300, but have a parallax adjustment down to 10 yards. Target shooting .22lr at short ranges without the right parallax on your scope can be very frustrating so keep that in mind while shopping.

I have a Leupold on my 452, but I got it slightly used from a friend. Great combination though I think that scope was over $400 new. I really like an older sightron that I have on a 10/22 target model. I also have a 455 .17hmr, I took a chance and bought a Hawke with a .17hmr bdc reticle. I usually avoid bdc stuff, but that scope, for that rifle works very well. And was not very expensive at all.
