I have an acog that I would like to get refreshed, the tritium is pretty much dim/dark now and there is a small deflect in the upper right section of the glass that looks like water spotting which has been there for quite some time. It’s a genuine acog that I picked up from a azs member years ago. I believe I still have the original retail paperwork and case for it. Obviously still works fine in daylight/overcast situations but indoors or low light it’s getting really hard to see the reticle.
Anyone have an experience sending one in to trijicon for service and repair? Since I picked it up used and not from an authorized retailer I’m not expecting it to be warranty and ok paying for repairs as long as it doesn’t take a year and cost 3/4 of what a new one does.

Re: Trijicon Acog service?
I have sent 6 various Trijicon scopes in for repair that were all purchased used.
Half the time they have did a wonderful job for free
and the rest of the time they wanted more than the scope was worth.
So roll the dice and send your scope in and see what happens.
My guess is it depends on the person that takes care of it.

Re: Trijicon Acog service?
I have sent in a couple of RMR's over the years. Either they fixed it with no charge or my last one was a very old 8 moa model that they did not service any more, so offered me a really good deal on a new type 2 RMR. I took them up on that offer as fast as I could return the e-mail. Send it in, see how it goes.

Some took a week or two turn around and others a month or two.
Just depends on how backed up they are.
As a side note I returned an RMR like Superduty mentioned and they
would not do a thing for me and returned it as is.
No bid to repair or replace it, just returned it.

Re: Trijicon Acog service?
Ill give it a shot and see what happens. I hate having to send anything in like that but I really do love the optic and want to get it fixed to like new again. I would rather not have to invest in a new one if this one wont take much to "renew". I did find the paperwork last night and confirmed its a 2008 era so this is the cause of the tritium being dim. Its at the end of its shelf life.
I just need to find a replacement optic to temporarily fill the void when this is off and getting fixed.
I will update this with my experience for anyone else looking to do the same thing in the future.

Already got this back from trijicon, it spent more time in transit back and forth then getting repaired....less then two weeks.
Everything was repaired to satisfaction and free of charge. Can’t complain.

Re: Trijicon Acog service?
Not sure if it helped but I sent it back in the original pelican case with the original registration card(filled out from original owner). I know some company's get pissy if the product was never registered new. Maybe that helped with them covering the repairs, who knows....but its fixed. Now gotta sacrifice some ammo to rezero.DrEarlCordova wrote: ↑February 11th, 2021, 5:33 am That is good to hear. I have a mini Acog that is getting dim.
