Green shows up better for this colorblind guy. Red almost disappears in daylight.

I love green for the reason posted above though im not color blind. Just be careful as a lot of red dots are Chinese knock offs.

Also in the colorblind camp. Green is nice and bright, red can be difficult depending on lighting conditions.

Green may or may not be easier for those who are colorblind and I have no knowledge one way or another, but what I do know from my work in Ophthalmic laser is that green is more visible for those who are not.

https://light-measurement.com/spectral- ... ty-of-eye/

The sensitivity of the human eye to light of a certain intensity varies strongly over the wavelength range between 380 and 800 nm. Under daylight conditions, the average normal sighted human eye is most sensitive at a wavelength of 555 nm, resulting in the fact that green light at this wavelength produces the impression of highest "brightness" when compared to light at other wavelengths.

Here's a graph of that phenomenon:

Green shows up way better for me.
Vortex Spitfire AR is a prism (no cluster of grapes) circle dot. With red / green choice. When switching between colors, the green is so much easier to see. And the prism gives a crisp clear Circle and dot. Only problem is they have a much smaller eye relief distance.

I’m colorblind (red/green) and find the green to washout with brighter backgrounds as “my” eyes perceive it to be white. Red blooms more but I can see it better...

I settled on the Holosun 507c. I like the reticle options.

Green is typically easier for people with astigmatism to see. Red dots or reticles tend to blur or starburst for them.

Just about every red dot out there is made in China.
Very few are made elsewhere.
I prefer Aimpoint myself.
