Place to Shoot North Scottsdale.

New to the area wondered where would be a good place to shoot in N Scottsdale by Carefree.

Are there any private clubs or recommended places in the Tonto NF? I know about Ben Avery but prefer not to shoot with people I don’t know.

I like long range precision 1000 yd and pistol.

Ben Avery and Cowtown are your best bets for organized ranges. Otherwise, study forest service and blm maps to find places to shoot.

Get OnX and get in your truck and find a spot. Nobody is going to give you a spot so 1,000 more California imports can pack it and ruin it like everything else.

C2 on Scottsdale Rd and Mayo, just south of the 101. My squad just renewed and if you want to join it's $150 for a year. Air Conditioned which is still nice, and you shoot as many times as you want and you can reserve a lane.. I like the desert too but it's getting harder and further to find legal spots to shoot. Let me know if you're interested, or if anyone else is interested you can still join.
Membership is good at either location and you are a member, don't have to shoot as part of a group. PM me if interested.

Appreciate the replies. Not much of an indoor guy will probably just set up a utv and do some exploring.

Please stay on the marked trails and take your trash with you when you leave.

Thanks,

Head out towards Bartlett lake... explore the old trails out there - there are places to be found out there.

Sent you a PM.

I don't care either way. Just be careful. BLM, Sheriff or others can seize your UTV i have been told if you are reckless.
