New kid on the Block ;) 40 S&W & 5.56
Hey fellas, how's it going? I'm from Scottsdale. I've been shooting and collecting for over 28 years. I'm a .40 S&W and 5.56 guy. I hope to learn from you all. I have lots of questions and have been thinking about starting my .22 collection. I've been looking at some Mark IVs and some Ruger 10/22s (which was my first rifle, by the way—Dad got rid of it a long time ago, about 20 years). I'm looking to jump back into that platform. Anyway, thanks for the opportunity to joing this great Board , fellas. I appreciate it.

Wow, for just getting started on this board, you sure are touchy. If you're gonna stay, you'll need some thicker skin. And just in case, do you have any preferred pronouns you'd like us to know?-GremlinMan- wrote: ↑March 14th, 2025, 4:02 pm You hunting for fellas From GummieForNia Lol, What's the next question ... what race am I?

Seriously get over the CA thing. It's a thing and ain't squat ya can do about it.

Welcome to the forum. Ignore those guys. They act like all the blue voters are only from California, as if a lot of the Chicago transplants who live here all vote red. Or all the New York transplants, etc.-GremlinMan- wrote: ↑March 14th, 2025, 1:31 pm Hey fellas, how's it going? I'm from Scottsdale. I've been shooting and collecting for over 28 years. My favorite and most fired guns are my 22’s. Ruger Mark IV is a great 22 pistol. Also a great suppressor host, which are legal here, BTW. Take a look at the Keltec P17 if you want something small, fun, high capacity, and suppressor ready. Taurus TX22 is also a great full size handgun choice.
Can’t beat a Ruger 10/22 for a rifle. The S&W M&P15-22 is a great AR style 22 semi auto.
Bolt action options are plentiful; Bergara B14R for a $1k budget precision rifle. The Bergara BMR-X or BMR for mid level prices, $450-$700. Tikka T1X, CZ 457, Ruger American Rimfire, Savage FV-SR.

Welcome aboard! The Ruger Mark IV 22/45 is a fun pistol to shoot! Can't go wrong with a Ruger 10/22 either. I love my 10/22 takedown and I recently added the Magpul Backpacker stock. Basically made a little survival rifle out of it.
