Looking to cover all the bases with my entry into reloading, and wondered if anyone had some experience with Lee's Load All regarding accuracy of dispensing, reliability, etc.
I haven't laid hands on one, but after watching some videos it doesn't look all that sturdy. At that price point (~$80) is it actually worth going that route when used MEC units are running ~$100?

I've never used the Lee unit, but like all things Lee, some love it, some hate it. I'm a Lee fan but can't say one way or another.

OTOH, I've got over 50 years experience with the MEC units and have 3 600 Jrs., 12 gauge, 20 gauge and 410 bore and 1 9000G in 20 Gauge.

You can't go wrong with the MEC units.

Be advised that reloading components are scarce right now and that even when you could get them, you could only save money reloading 12 and 20 gauge if you reloaded odd things like spreaders or specialty rounds of some sort.

There was and is money to be saved if you reload 16 gauge, 28 gauge or 410 bore though. You can save a ton on 28 gauge and 410.

I have one. While it works, it's a royal piece of crap compared to a Mec Jr.

Thanks, Flash. Seems the majority of what I can find for supplies are shotshell supplies, so I have a stock on hand. I'll be primarily loading 12 ga. buckshot and slugs which is not only tough to find right now, and expensive, but I think worth my time and investment in reloading... Especially moving forward into our unsure times.

MEC has the best single stage, but whether or not they have the best progressive is another thing. I've got a MEC 9000G progressive and have had it since around 1983 or so and use it weekly with no problems whatsoever, but it may or may not be the best.

lol, i still when i do it , reload on an old pacific machine, forget who bought them out, but it does the job, was a time we loaded thousands when my pard and i were trying to be semi professional trappers, lol. had fun, won't nothing but fun......so eventually gave it up, still have the OU's and love me some side by sides.
reloading is just a hoot, at least for me.

I am somewhat biased as I have 4 Mec jr's and 1 Mec sizemaster, I recall a guy I knew a few years back that had a Lee, was kind of clunky and cheap looking but did load shells. It was slow as I could casually drink 2 beers in the time it took him to load 25. The Mec machines are far better and there are machines and parts out there bargain priced.
